M E E T   S H A I N A

As a trauma-informed licensed dietitian-nutritionist (LDN), I'm dedicated to fostering a mindful and integrative approach to health and wellness.

Instead of quick fixes, my goal is to guide you toward sustainable, balanced habits with food that nurtures both your physical health and emotional well-being.

True health isn't about restrictive diets or conforming to unrealistic ideals—it's about honoring your body's needs and reconnecting with your inner wisdom. My approach combines the principles of Intuitive Eating, functional medicine, herbalism, and Ayurveda, all through the lens of the Health at Every Size (HAES) philosophy.

Whether you’re healing from disordered eating, managing a chronic illness, or simply looking to cultivate a healthful relationship with your body and food, I’m here to support you with a personalized, non-diet approach to nutrition care.

My passion for this work comes from my own health journey. After a severe horse accident left me with autoimmune thyroid disease, I struggled with both my physical health and the pressures of diet culture. Like many, I spent years battling food restrictions, body image issues, and confusion around what it meant to truly care for my body. But by embracing Intuitive Eating and reconnecting with holistic healing practices, I learned to trust my body again and finally found peace with food. This transformative experience is what drives me to help others heal—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

In my practice, I offer personalized virtual 1:1 sessions to support you on your healing path. I also work with clients virtually in New York at an integrative mental health start-up, Being Health

Outside the office, you’ll find me exploring the Tahoe National Forest, hiking, snowboarding, or paddleboarding by the lake. I’m also an avid cook and love experimenting with new recipes in my kitchen.

Let’s work together to help you heal, embrace your true self, and build a sustainable, positive relationship with your body and food.
